Baby Language

I just came across this video on Facebook last night, and thought it was very interesting and I had to share. The theory discussed in the video claims that across cultures and linguistic groups there are five sounds, each with a meaning, that are used by infants 0-3 months of age, before the language acquisition period, to express a need or want. The hypothesis was developed by Australian former mezzo-soprano, Priscilla Dunstan, who shared her research with Oprah Winfrey on a past episode of her show. (One I wish I had seen when my son was first born). Check it out, and let us know if this theory has helped you understand your baby’s language a little more.

Hey Jimmy Kimmel, I Gave my Kids a Terrible Present

If you want to watch a video that will literally make you laugh your ass off, you have to see this latest one from Jimmy Kimmel.  Back at Halloween, Jimmy challenged the parents of America to pretend they ate all of their kids’ Halloween candy and to film their reactions and upload them on YouTube. Well, Jimmy is at it again for Christmas! This time around he told parents to allow their kids to open one present a few weeks earlier, but instead of a good present, they had to give them something terrible that they really wouldn’t want. The results of course were hilarious!

Rapping 2 Year Old Boy

I was just watching Ellen and had to share this adorable video I saw on her show. Khaliyl Iloyi is a 2-year-old boy who's got some serious flow! The rapping toddler is right on beat with his baby babbles and his added swag make this video irresistible. Watch out Jay-Z ! A child prodigy in the making!

Bruno Mars on Sesame Street

You have to check out this adorable video of Bruno Mars hanging with his Muppet friends at Sesame Street. He sings a song about not giving up, with the likes of Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abbey Caddabey and others singing backup. The tune about persistence and patience sounds similar to his laid-back single “The Lazy Song”, however the message is quite the opposite. It is a positive song for kids and adults alike, and is fun to listen to because of course everything Bruno Mars sings is a hit! Enjoy!

Jimmy Kimmel Halloween YouTube Challenge

On Monday night Jimmy Kimmel challenged the parents of America to pretend they ate all of their kids Halloween candy and to film their reactions and upload them on YouTube. You have to watch this hilarious video montage of when these poor children hear the dreaded words come out of their parents mouths. You almost feel sorry for them, however at the same time you cant help but laugh.

If you need a good laugh, you have to check out this absolutely hilarious video of Arturo Trejo interviewing his 1 year old son, Jose Luis, in honor of their 100^th YouTube video. They cover everything from nighttime problems to home life and even discuss his views on Osama Bin Laden. This articulate little man is just too funny to miss, he definitely had me laughing out loud!

Speaking of cribs, it's nearing bedtime (for me, anyways) and I wanted to share this super cute video of a baby girl who is so happy to see her mom, but wayyyy to tired to stay awake (kind of how I'm feeling right now, minus the mom)..or maybe she's just having sweet dreams! President Obama: Baby Charmer

LOL Check out this hilarious video I just stumbled upon of Michelle Obama holding a hysterical crying baby, but when passed off to her husband, U.S. President Barack Obama, the baby is calmed immediately.  The look he gives Michelle is priceless! Seems Mr. President has a way with the babies.
