Keurig Rivo – Review & Giveaway

The friendly folks at National PR recently offered the opportunity to review Keurig’s newest coffee maker – the Keurig Rivo Espresso, Cappuccino and Latte system. We know all too well how a good cup of coffee can be a key element in starting the day off right for any sleep-deprived mom, so we were really excited to give it a try!

Named, after the word ‘Revolutionary’ in Italian, the Keurig Rivo system is just that. It’s a first time innovation for Keurig for espresso-based beverages in Canada and it will truly change the way you drink coffee. We all wish we could have the delicious cappuccinos, mochas and lattes we treat ourselves to when we head out to a local coffee shop, but why not have the same ‘fancy’ beverages at home? We’ve seen so many espresso machines that are big and bulky with tons of complicated settings that are either too intimidating to try, or get used a handful of times and then left taking up space on the counter to gather dust. Well that’s not the case with the Rivo! The size is not much larger than a regular coffee machine so it fits nicely on your countertop, and it has the legendary simplicity Keurig is known for. With just 5 easy buttons it’s so simple to make your favourite drink at home time and time again. And as busy moms, simplicity is always key!

The Rivo is a two-part system - one half looks like conventional Keurigs with a water reservoir and the other half, has a frothing pitcher that allows you to froth for your cappuccino or latte. That’s right, no milk pod, just fresh frothy milk that makes you feel like a real a barista and gives you that real authentic taste. It also allows you to choose the kind of milk you want to use whether its skim, whole or non-dairy if you prefer.

Keurig even teamed up with Italy's favourite coffee roaster, Lavazza to offer delicious, authentic Italian espresso in special Rivo cups, designed specifically for this system. Whether you enjoy something sweet and citrusy or bold and full-bodied, there is something for everyone.

The only downfall is that the Rivo only takes the R-Cups and does not use Keurig’s traditional K-Cups, which also offer tea and hot chocolate, but if you’re a true coffee lover that won’t even matter because you still have over 30 options of delicious hot or cold drinks to make!

The Rivo is definitely a must have, and we want you to have the opportunity to try it too! So we’re giving one away!!

As simple as making an espresso, all you have to do to enter for your chance to win a brand Keurig Rivo Espresso, Cappuccino and Latte system along with a variety of delicious Rivo packs is to leave a comment below!

Good Luck!
